DTF Printing FAQs
Only use high-resolution (300 DPI) PNG files with transparent background.
- The most crucial factor affecting a design's printability is image resolution.
- Ensure your design is originally created at 300 DPI—simply changing the DPI of a lower resolution image won’t improve its quality.
- While we work with the most sophisticated technology to produce the highest quality prints, the end result is only as good as the design files you upload.
- DTF printing can be applied to a wider range of fabric types compared to DTG. This includes not only cotton and blends but also polyester and other synthetic fabrics, making it a versatile choice for different types of apparel.
- There are no design limitations with DTF printing. It can create intricate details in the full color spectrum, resulting in vibrant, high-quality prints.
- The DTF process uses a special adhesive powder and a heat press to bond the ink to the fabric. The result is a durable print that is resistant to cracking and fading.
- DTF printing continues to push the boundaries of on-demand production with innovation, allowing small businesses to efficiently produce and ship small, non-bulk orders.
Yes! We have top-of-the-line DTF printing equipment that offers unmatched color durability. To make sure the prints age well throughout the lifespan of the garment, follow the additional instructions below.
- Cold wash on delicate settings
- Air-dry out of direct sunlight
- Do not iron over print
- Do not tumble dry
To ensure the best color match for your DTF prints:
-
Use the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color space when creating your designs. This color space is the standard for DTF printing and ensures the highest possible degree of color accuracy when your digital files are converted from RGB to CMYK for printing.
-
Incorporate true black (#000000) and true white (#FFFFFF) in your designs. These colors are essential for achieving deep blacks and bright whites in your final print. True black will ensure that your dark areas are as rich as possible, and true white will maintain the brightest highlights.
-
Avoid using white ink on white garments. We do not print white ink on white apparel, so any white areas in your design will default to the fabric color.
-
Check your design resolution. Always use high-resolution (300 DPI) PNG files with a transparent background for the best print quality. Lower resolution images may result in blurry or pixelated prints, which can affect color accuracy as well.
