What are Custom Patches?
Custom patches are fabric emblems created through weaving or embroidery that can be attached to garments, bags, hats, and accessories. They’re a versatile branding tool that adds dimension, texture, and premium appeal to any product.
We produce two main types: woven patches (using thin threads woven on computerized looms for fine detail) and embroidered patches (using thicker threads stitched onto backing for a raised, textured look). Each method has unique advantages depending on your design complexity and desired aesthetic.
Our industrial patch production facility can handle orders from 100 to 100,000+ pieces with consistent quality. We offer multiple backing options including sew-on, iron-on, hook-and-loop (Velcro), and adhesive—making patches suitable for permanent branding, removable identification, or collectible merchandise.

Minimum Order Quantity
100 pieces per design for bulk pricing. Volume discounts available for orders of 500+ patches.
Design Specifications
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) preferred. For woven patches, text should be at least 1/16″ tall. For embroidered patches, minimum text height is 1/8″. Maximum patch size is 12″ in any dimension.
Border & Shape Options
Choose from merrowed border (rounded edge), hot-cut border (sealed edge), laser-cut (custom shapes), or no border. Custom die-cut shapes available for orders of 500+.
Production Timeline
Standard turnaround is 10-14 business days after artwork approval. Production SLAs are clearly stated per product. Express shipping options are available at checkout and do not affect production lead times.
Application Methods
Sew-on patches are most durable. Iron-on patches require a heat press for best adhesion. Hook-and-loop patches are ideal for tactical and uniform applications where removal is needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
For designs with 5+ colors, bulk DTG is often more economical than screen printing up to 300-500 pieces. Screen printing becomes cheaper for very large runs (500+) with simple designs. We’ll provide quotes for both methods to help you decide.
Bulk DTG pricing starts at 50 pieces. Below this, our on-demand DTG service (no minimums) is more appropriate.
Yes! The 50-piece minimum applies to the total order, not per design. You can mix multiple designs as long as the total quantity meets the minimum.
Absolutely! We recommend ordering 1-2 samples through our on-demand service first to approve quality, colors, and placement before committing to bulk production.
Standard bulk DTG orders ship within 7-10 business days. Each product clearly states its production SLA. Express shipping options are available at checkout, which do not affect production lead times.
